Job Description


TRUCK DRIVER
Our team in Henderson currently has an opening for a Truck Driver

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive tractor trailer combination, usually short distances to transport and deliver products either in bulk or packaged form.
Verify load against shipping papers.
Inspect vehicle before and after trip and report any discrepancies to the Fleet Maintenance Office.
Maintain logs according to DOT regulation.
Report arrival times and hours of service available to the bulk / LTL dispatchers as applicable.
May perform other duties as specified by the immediate supervisor.
Assists in the routing of the delivery fleet.
Expected to understand and use the applicable procedures in the delivery process.
Responsible for final inspection and approval for outbound shipments.

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:
A good safety and attendance record.
A valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
Thorough understanding of the importance of customer service and the ability to work cooperatively with other departments and personnel in meeting customer needs.
Ability to interface well with customers and their employees.
Skills associated with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to understand and comply with all company policies and procedures pertinent to the Distribution Department as applicable to the job.
Ability to understand and carry out Distribution Department process descriptions applicable to the job.
Willingness to accept overtime (both scheduled and impromptu), to be subject to and available for call-in, and to work other shifts as needed to meet customer needs.
