PURPOSE: The Inventory Variance Researcher will research and action inventory inquiries and reports to ensure accurate inventory. This position will collaborate with Procurement and local Operations leadership to identify shrink trends and provide recommendations. This position will also help support inventory projects and programs to ensure accuracy and in compliance with service levels.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and process penalty box items, identify trends and make recommendations to Operations leaders regarding potential coaching or training opportunities
Reviews and actions daily reports to including but not limited to: Daily Inventory Change, Negative Inventory, Daily Inventory Evaluation, and other inventory related reports.
Collaborates with Procurement to resolve excess inventory concerns
Reconcile store returns and make necessary adjustments within the inventory system
Act as an inventory lead as needed in close partnership with Operations leadership
Performs other relevant job duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Capability of being licensed in operating powered industrial equipment Experience:
2-3 years of experience in in both mechanized and conventional warehousing, picking and storage operations in dry grocery and perishable areas(required)
Experience as a selector or lift operator (strongly preferred)
