Job Description Summary Help drive the growth agenda for GE Vernova as a key member of the Growth, Innovation & Strategy team by identifying and implementing world-class practices in technology & business model innovation to capture value through strong cross-business & cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain single overview of innovation and technology investment/returns across GE Vernova (GEV) through interfacing with business unit CTOs, product managers, advanced research and ventures.
Perform regular key technology trend and signposts analyses to inform the ‘GE Vernova house view’ on technology domains to inform near-term decision making and long-term scenarios.
Benchmark GEV innovation approach and funnel management with competitors and identify best practice to be included in standard work for Enterprise Strategy development.
Coordinate and support the wider innovation ecosystem for GEV with focus on creating value from academic relationships, supply chain partners, national labs and associated incubators & start-up communities and customers.
Create and maintain a strong network of subject matter experts across key technology areas to allow an efficient channeling of requests, screening of potential investments and red team/blue team reviews of technology programs.
Support Enterprise-level Hoshin Kanri to deepen ‘whitespace’ growth domains with particular focus to assist with opportunity prioritization & maturation and technology commercialization options.
Contribute to the development of materials for senior leadership in preparation for board meetings, strategic reviews and ELT meetings.

Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of the energy industry and value chain with related experience in electricity, renewable power, power transmission and distribution and energy software.
Expertise in innovation methodologies and new technology & product introduction (NTI/NPI) processes inside GE and industry best-practice across different industries.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process skills (hands-on Lean expertise a plus), able to thrive in an agile fast-paced environment.
Proven project management skills, having the confidence to independently carry out high quality work under pressure and able to prioritize deliverables.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and verbal & written communication skills.
Collaborative team member, able to work effectively across geographies, businesses and functions.
Self-starter with high accountability for committed tasks.

Education / Experience / Certifications:
Background can either be 5-7 years of work experience in technology maturation or product management at a large multinational corporation and/or high-paced cleantech environment and ideally both.
Master’s degree of PhD in relevant science or engineering discipline, ideally supplemented with economics/finance further learning or MBA.
Active membership of a recognized professional body or society and existing energy industry network would be considered a plus.
The base pay range for this position is $112,400 – $165,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus. This posting is expected to remain open until at least August 30, 2024.
