Job Description
Duties
You will dig trenches with picks and shovels, heavy jack hammers and mud guns (operated by 90 pounds of air or hydraulic pressure).
You will excavate by breaking up asphalt around damaged areas on roads, parking lots, and driveways with jackhammers and remove waste material to replace with new asphalt.
You will push heavy wheelbarrows of gravel, coral, rocks, and concrete.
You will load, unload, separate, stack, and carry materials, supplies, and packages weighing from 80 to 100 pounds (26 to 45 kilograms) or more.
You will maintain, account for, and perform operator maintenance and cleaning on all types of equipment and tools required to accomplish assigned duties.
You will operate hand tools in a safe manner, applying established safety regulations to minimize/avoid violations.
